One of the most popular Japanese restaurants in the capital, celebrated its 10-year anniversary recently with a unique festive menu collaboration with Christopher Peskias. The famous chef, and owner of renowned restaurant Balthazar in Athens, created a new and exciting menu for lovers of Asian cuisine, introducing new additions to the already impressive repertoire, with innovative dishes from Korea, China and Thailand.
With this new menu and à la carte sharing menu, Sushi La now gives visitors the opportunity to try even more flavours from the Asian world, with both its buffet and sushi bar, as well as new more affordable dishes which are ideal to share with your friends.
The restaurant also recently hired the talented Christos Manoussopoulos in the position of Executive Chef, increasing the team to a total of 20 chefs who work together to prepare unique and adventurous tastes.
Of these tried and tested tastes, the Pop Corn Shrimp comes highly recommended, combining crunchy shrimp tempura with spicy sauce, roe and mayonnaise. The Octopus Carpaccio with marinated octopus, lime, hot pepper, basil, cabbage, mint and fish sauce is also a firm favourite, as is the red curry with shrimp and the fresh quinoa and salmon salad with soy beans, cucumber and mustard and dill sauce. Finish your meal with one of the new dessert choices such as chocolate mousse and seasonal fruits
Getting ahead of technology, the restaurant now has digital menus allowing diners to see real pictures of each dish on an interactive screen before making a selection. And as for the drinks one of Cyprus’ most successful of mixologists, Alex Christodoulides, has designed a new list of delicious cocktails for all tastes.
