A study has been submitted recently for a €30 million project called “Sunset Gardens” near Limassol’s integrated casino resort by CITRUS GARDENS DEVELOPMENT LTD.

The Environmental Impact Assessment study shows that the project provides for the construction of 310 apartments, distributed over a total of four floors, with private parking spaces and additional facilities – such as swimming pools, playgrounds, etc.

Apartments will be divided into one, two and three bedrooms, with outdoor covered parking, all designed to the highest standard.

Shared facilities will include a tennis court, half of a basketball court, parking spaces (for guests as well), fitness and leisure pools, outdoor barbecue area and a gym. Out of a total of 167 parking spaces 10 will be designed for people with disabilities.

The project owner is CITRUS GARDENS DEVELOPMENT LTD and its estimated cost is around €30 million (€29,388,582 to be exact). Construction work is expected to start in 2020 and be completed by end of 2022.

The proposed development is within Limassol district’s Tsekez Tsiflik area. Some 800 meters to the east is the coastal city’s “My Mall” and just metres away is where “City of Dreams” integrated casino resort is getting built. Agricultural land lies to the south, along with a small salt lake and the British military base of Akrotiri. To the southeast of the development site is the port of Limassol.

At the same time, the study points out that the project’s site is now registered as a field not adjacent to any other development but not with an asphalted road either.

Therefore, road access to the construction site will be required – something which is subject to a separate planning permit.
