The driving licence of a 33 year old man caught driving under the influence of drugs was revoked by the department of road transport, the Transport Ministry said.

It said the decision was in line with a decision of the Road Safety Council and the minister’s announcement last Friday that drivers caught driving under the influence of drugs would be shown zero tolerance.

Police had written to the road transport department yesterday that the driver who was caught speeding over the weekend had also tested positive for drugs.
