Pupils from Limassol’s Petros and Pavlou high school joined a ceremony for the creation of a new artificial reef.  Divers and pupils studied and participated in creating part of the new artificial reef which is made up mostly of amphorae and clay pots.

Both the Minister of Agriculture Costas Kadis and the Minister of Education Costas Hambiaouris  attended the ceremony.

The project is co-financed by the European Commission by 75% and by the government of the Republic of Cyprus by 25%.

The programme comes as part of efforts to promote environmental awareness.
