A coastal stretch between popular beaches.
Located 1.8 km from the centre of the popular tourist resort of Agia Napa, the 350-metre long beach of Pernera A sits between the beaches of Vathia Gonia and Katsarka.
The northern part of the beach is covered in fine, golden sands, whilst the western part is rocky, due to the picturesque peninsula that is formed there. Its crystal-clear seawaters are relatively calm.
Facilities on the beach include toilets, changing rooms, sun beds, umbrellas and water sports facilities. The general area has a variety of accommodation, restaurants and kiosks nearby.
Lifeguards with lifesaving equipment and first aid services are stationed at the beach in April, May, September and October, from 09:00 – 17:00, and in June, July and August, from 10:00 – 18:00.
A pedestrian path runs along the coast and links the harbour with the beach of Vathia Gonia. Towards the west, there is the opportunity to hike near Markronisos beach, whilst the interesting archaeological site of Makronissos Tombs can also be easily accessed.
Access is easy by foot, bike or car, and there are car-parking facilities.
