October 30, 2018 at 3:57pm

Frederick University, Mobile Devices Laboratory (MDL) and Nature Conservation Unit (NCU) have created the application ‘Troodos National Forest Park (iLIFE-TROODOS)’.

The application provides information to visitors about the Park’s e biodiversity and available leisure opportunities available, such as: camping and excursion spaces, nature trails, cycling routes, accommodation, dining, museums, churches, waterfalls, environmental centres, etc.

Among others, the app provides weather information and a calorie counter. Points of interest are displayed on the map, giving the user the ability to navigate easily.

The application is available for iOS and Android devices and was co-funded by the European Union’s LIFE programme.
