Larnaca: Eight third country nationals arrested, three employers fined

Larnaca police accompanied by labour inspectors yesterday raided eight premises in the Larnaca district and arrested eight third country nationals for working illegally.

Police said that their three employers were called to the police station for employing illegal staff.

Moreover, the labour inspectors issued adminstrative fines to the three employers totalling €26,000 for breaking the law on undeclared labour.

The raids are part of an ongoing campaign against illegal and undeclared work.
