Two 11 year old boys kidnapped from their primary school in Larnaca on Tuesday have been discharged from Larnaca Hospital where they were taken for precautionary reasons after their eight hour ordeal.
The children were found in an apartment about one kilometre from Kamares primary school on Tuesday afternoon and taken to hospital for a medical check up.
Police chief Zacharias Chrysostomou said on Wednesday that a 35 year old man arrested in the flat and remanded in custody for eight days had given a voluntary statement admitting to the crime.
In an announcement on Wednesday afternoon, the Health Ministry said the two children had undergone all the necessary clinical and lab tests. “The children are in good health and have been discharged,” it said.
