Interpol-wanted jewellery shop burglar sentenced to three years in jail

A 48 year old man wanted by Interpol was sentenced to three years in jail for the burglary of a Limassol jewellery shop in 2009.

The man stole valuables worth €212,000 from the shop on February 28, 2009.

After receiving testimony linking him to the crime, Cypriot police request a European warrant for his arrest.

He was eventually arrested in March 1, 2018 by Spanish authorities and was extradited to Cyprus after one month.

Limassol Criminal Court sentenced him to three years in jail.
