Edited by

Limassol life guards on Friday rescued a Russian tourist from drowning, the second such incident within 12 hours. On Thursday afternoon, they had rescued a six year old and a 12 year old child.

The Limassol Life Guard Society said Friday’s incident occurred around 11 am at a beach in Ayios Tychonas when a Russian tourist started calling for help after water entered his diving mask. He was some 100 metres from the shore.

The life guards were able to bring him back to shore safely.
