Best Cyprus restaurants will be announced tonight, November 11, in a glamorous ceremony for the Toques d’Or awards (Golden Caps) at Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol. The award, held in Greece for more than 20 years, will take place in Cyprus for the first time.
It is expected that the Toques d’Or aspires to change the Cyprus dining scene and everything we knew about the food on the island. The Toques d’Or (the Greek Michelin) has won recognition among the sector’s professionals and the public.
The tasting safari began ar 2018 and concluded a few weeks ago. More than 150 best Cypriot restaurants have been reviewed and evaluated with strict international standards.
The judges – a team of specialized journalists–connoisseurs with many years of experience from Greek Athinorama and Cyprus’ Phileleftheros have visited restaurants in Limassol, Larnaca, Limassol, Pafos, Protaras, Ayia Napa, Paralimni, Troodos and Polis and have tasted more than 1600 various dishes.
