Three men from the Famagusta aged 27, 36 and 44 and another one from Nicosia, 35, were arrested in connection with the murder of 33-year-old Gary Boris Christodoulou, who was found dead with two bullets to his head near the motorway just outside Ayia Napa on November 1.

The suspects, all Greek Cypriots, were arrested on Wednesday noon after police secured testimony linking them to the case.

They will be led to court on Thursday.

Philenews writes that one of the men was a suspect in the attempted murder against Phanos Kalopsidiotis in Ayia Napa in 2012, which resulted to the death of five people.

Christodoulou was found dead on Novermber 1, with two gunshot wounds to the head near the Ayia Napa -Larnaca road.

A passerby woman had contacted police to say that there was a car which appeared to have been involved in an accident.

Police went to the scene where they found a car with the engine still running, the lights on and no sign of the driver. The window of the front passenger’s seat was broken and there was a bullet, lodged in the seat.

After searching the area, at around 23.50 police found the body of the victim in a clump of acacia trees, on the other side of the road, some 150 metres from the car. The man had been shot in the head twice.

Christodoulou was known to police in relation to drug possession and trafficking cases.
