Fire fighters have managed to partly contain a fire that broke out around 12.30 on Thursday at the Kolassi area of Kili in the Paphos district, the Cyprus News Agency said.
It said five fire trucks have been sent to the area. Because of the strong winds, they were reinforced by two water dropping helicopters.
The fire burnt three hectares of wild vegetation and dry grass, five stacks of hay and irrigation pipes.
Fire fighters efforts were also hampered by the difficult terrain.
