Fine with above average temperatures

A relatively warm air mass is affecting the area pushing temperatures to above average for the time of year through to Friday.

The met office said Tuesday will be mainly fine with temperatures rising to 35 C inland — which is 5 C higher than average for the time of year, around 31 C on the south and east coasts, around 28 C on the west and north coasts and 26 C in the mountains.

Tonight will be mainly fine. Temperatures will drop to 19 C inland and the south and east coasts, around 17 C on the north and west coasts and 16 C in the mountains.

Wednesday will be mainly fine. Temperatures will edge up even further with a met office official telling CyBC that inland temperatures are forecast to climb to 37 C which is seven degrees above average for the time of year.

Temperatures will edge down a little on Thursday and Friday, but remain above average for the time of year at 35 C – 36 C inland.

There will be intervals of increased higher cloud on Thursday as well as light dust.
