D.O.T Restaurant first opened its doors near Famagusta Gate three years ago, and since then, the stylish eatery has consistently presented a perfect spot for those looking for gourmet dishes at affordable prices.
We decided to revisit D.O.T for a nice and quiet dinner, to see why the well-known restaurant is so loved by all.
First up, D.O.T offers great wine and of course delicious food, in a cozy and chic space where modern design blends skillfully with vintage elements. Secondly, the menu is a foodie’s dream, offering a variety of gastronomic treats to suit all taste buds.
We started with a refreshing, light and very hearty salad with lentils, quinoa, beans, pepper, green onion, cherry tomatoes and lemon with ginger and cumin, as well as two appetizers – the grilled oyster mushrooms with kale and sauce carob and the ceviche of fresh sea bass, octopus and salmon with fresh vegetables and fruits.
From our very first bites, we were impressed with the balance of flavors and the obvious talent of head chef, Komninou Kousiera.We continued our culinary adventure with Taliolini with artichokes, kale, pesto pistachios and parmesan flakes; shrimp wrapped with fresh sea bass which melted in the mouth, on wild boiled greens with sauce of mustard and fresh marjoram – a dish that will certainly excite seafood lovers. For the sweetest finale on this exciting culinary adventure, we chose a delicious cheesecake with honey and crème brûlée with pistachios.
Finishing with our dessert and searching for a reason to return to the restaurant, we asked to see the special brunch menu. From eggs benedict with smoked salmon and French toast with ice cream, to waffles and pancakes American, each option seemed better than the one before. We will definitely be back for more!
