The number of offices offering services to investors seeking to secure a Cyprus passport has risen to 407, Phileleftheros reported today.
According to a state register, until July 31 the number of passport service providers was 255, however it has since risen to 407 by October 17.
Phileleftheros writes that competition between them will be intense, since the cabinet has set a maximum of 700 naturalisations per year.
So far in 2018, about 330 citizens have been granted Cypriot passports.
Meanwhile, the government is in the process of launching a competition, in order to assign the carrying out of due diligence checks – to those who apply for Cypriot citizenship – to foreign firms.
