The citizens initiative group 300,000 trees for Limassol will hold its first public meeting at the Pefkios  Georgiades  amphitheatre at TEPAK (Cyprus University of Technology) on Thursday, September 12 at 6 pm.

The meeting aims to brief the public on the aims of the group and to discuss tree planting in the Limassol district.

It will also aim to set up volunteer groups to achieve the target.

The meeting is supported by the Sustainable Laboratory of TEPAK.

Similar initiatives are underway in other towns — 300,000 trees in Nicosia, 100,000 trees in Larnaca and 100,000 trees in Paphos and they are working in coordination.
