Yet another worker has lost his life while working at a construction site in the north of Cyprus. 42-year-old Suat Agcabey lost his life on Tuesday morning while working on the electricity installment of a construction site in Kyrenia.
According to reports, the unfortunate worker was fatally injured when five hardboards which were leaning on a wall fell knocking him to the ground. Suat sustained injuries to his head on impact with the ground.
The latest victim of work related accidents in the north was transferred to the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoglu public hospital in north Nicosia. Despite doctors’ efforts, Suat Agcabey passed away at 6 o’clock on Tuesday evening.
Agcabey became the sixth fatality arising from work-related incidents in just the first seven months of 2017 and the 49th in six years.
