Two heat stroke incidents in the past 24 hours

Two more heat stroke incidents have been recorded in the last 24 hours, with the total number reaching seven.

A 71-year-old woman and an 85-year-old man were the latest victims of the high temperatures recorded these past days. Both individuals suffer from chronic health problems.

Speaking to CNA, Health Ministry official Ioanna Gregoriou said that the two individuals were brought into hospital with high fever and low blood pressure, in a confused state.

Due to the high temperatures of the past few days, two women aged 75 and 60 lost their lives. They too had a history of health problems.
