A 37-year-old man from Poland is to stand trial on September 14 for attacking and assaulting his neighbour in Oroklini just after midnight on Sunday.
According to police, the 37-year-old Pole who appeared to be drunk was spotted in his neighbour’s garden brandishing a knife.
When the owner of the house opened the door and demanded to know what the Pole was doing in his garden, the latter stormed into the house and hit him.

According to the police, the Greek Cypriot homeowner, in spite of being injured, managed to keep his Polish assailant in check until the police arrived to arrest him.
The man was detained at the Oroklini police station and subsequently appeared before the Larnaca District Court later on Monday morning.
The Court set September 14 as the trial date and ruled that the suspect be detained at the Central Prisons in Nicosia until then.
