A 58-year-old tourist from Poland drowned off the Paphos coast announced the Paphos police on Sunday afternoon.
His body lifeless body was brought to shore by a lifeguard that was on duty at a nearby hotel who proceeded to conduct first aid on the man until an ambulance arrived.
The man was taken to Paphos General Hospital where his death was certified by the doctors on duty.
The 58-year-old was apparently swept away by currents whilst swimming about 50m into the sea off a Paphos beach with a friend.
Paphos CID is investigating the matter.
