Popular local four-piece band The Zilla Project will be performing an energetic, super-charged set at Central Stage for the first time on Friday, 21 October at 10.30pm.

Based in Cyprus, The Zilla Project plays a unique version of the Blues, with allusions to all styles of American music. The band performs their own songs from their debut album “This One’s for The President” (2014), plus electrified versions of Blues & Rock classics.
Over the past 8 years the band has built a wide and loyal following having performed on every corner of Cyprus from the major festivals to the smallest bars. Last December they travelled to London UK for two performances at Nambucca and Proud Camden, and also headlined the August Full Moon Festival in Crete, Greece in 2014.
They have also successfully backed a number of international artists including Adam Levy (US) (of Norah Jones, Tracy Chapman and Annie DiFranco fame), Bex Marhsall (UK), Gil Edwards (NOR), Foko (GR), The BluesWire (GR) and Panos Mouzourakis (GR).
The band is comprised of Emmanuel “Big Mo” Vourakis on vocals and guitars; Nicolas “Honeyman” Melis on keyboard; Loizos “Lou” Pafitis on bass and Stefanos “Medicine Man” Meletiou on drums.
