Thanos Hotels acquires Aloe Hotel in Paphos

Aloe Hotel – the fourth Cypriot hotel for the group – will become a full part of Thanos Hotels and Resorts in spring 2019 following a major refurbishment in Winter 2018/19.

Thanos Hotels and Resorts, comprising the iconic Anassa, the sleek Almyra and classic Annabelle hotels has acquired the Aloe Hotel in Paphos to add to its portfolio of owned and managed resorts.

The hotel is located on Poseidonos Avenue, in the heart of Paphos and comprises 272 rooms, 3 restaurants, 3 pools (one indoor) and only 200 meters from the nearest beach.

The new hotel will mean that Thanos Hotels and Resorts will now operate 840 rooms across its four hotels in Cyprus.

The company is still family owned and family run. Founded 40 years ago by the late Alecos Michaelides, his son Thanos Michaelides is now at the helm as Managing Director. Thanos Hotels is proud of its outstanding heritage and is keen to build on its exceptional track record as one of the leading hotel groups in the Mediterranean.

Thanos Hotels is expecting its own record year in 2017 with bookings already up by 20%.

The company’s vision is to rebrand and relaunch the hotel in the near future, until the relaunch the hotel will continue operations as it is.
