Slightly less Cypriots travelled abroad in May

Slightly less Cypriots travelled abroad this May compared to May 2016 according to data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service, on Monday.

On the basis of the results of the Passengers Survey, 102,068 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in May 2017 compared to 102,160 in the same month of the previous year, recording a drop of 0.1%.

In May 2017 there was a decrease of 7.7% on the trips of residents to Greece, or in actual numbers 34,559 in May 2017 compared to 37,444 in May 2016.

Cypriot residents returning from the United Kingdom also recorded a drop of 1.4% this May or 21,268 compared to 21,580.
