Catching up with the would-be assailant in his brother’s garden Aradippou police intervened after the man allegedly threatened to kill his sibling.
The man is believed to have been drunk at the time.
According to the police, officers were on Sunday morning informed that a 31-year-old man had gone to his 35-year-old brother’s home in the Tsiakilero area of Aradippou, Larnaca and was threatening to kill him.

Arriving at the scene at around 9.25am, the officers found the younger man in his brother’s fenced-in garden and, after confronting him, determined that he strongly smelt of alcohol indicating he was drunk.
In the presence of the police, the drunk attempted to lunge at his older brother, pushing an officer in the process.
He was subsequently arrested, charged in writing and released to appear in court at a later date, the police said.
