Serdar Denktas, leader of the Turkish Cypriot Democratic party has been discharged from a hospital in the north after being admitted for heart failure on Saturday.
Denktas was rushed to hospital at around 1:30 on Saturday afternoon after complaining of chest pains and experiencing difficulty in breathing.
Doctors announced that he was being treated for high blood pressure induced heart failure.
In a tweet at around 11:20 on Sunday morning, Denktas said ‘Thank you for your wishes. I got out of the hospital today. A big thanks to all the doctors and nurses. Back on duty again after a bit of house rest ’
