Russian cyclist dies in Paphos

A 32-year-old Russian man was killed on Wednesday after the bicycle he was riding was struck by a car in Paphos.

Traffic police say the incident occurred in the village of Pelathousa in the Paphos district at 11.30 on Wednesday morning.

A police official has confirmed that the victim was a tourist and that the car was being driven by a 42-year-old man from Paphos.

The victim was transferred to the Paphos General Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

Investigations are continuing.
