Road works on Kolossi-Akrotiri road set to start next Tuesday

Sovereign Base Areas Police has announced that road works to install cables from the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) substation at Kolossi up to the RAF Akrotiri main entry point will be carried out from March 15 and the end of September 2017.

These will include excavations and other relevant works and will take place in phases along the main Kolossi-Akrotiri road. Two sets of traffic lights will be in operation at each part of the road where works will be taking place; there will be a 30 km maximum speed restriction.

The works will be taking place from Monday-Saturday, however, traffic control and speed restriction will remain in place on Sundays as well.
