Road work shuts down parts of Larnaca-Ayia Napa highway

The Transport Department has made an announcement regarding road work in parts of the Larnaca-Ayia Napa highway, starting on Thursday, September 1.

For the next couple of weeks, parts of the motorway will be closed to traffic between 6am and 6pm, except weekends, in order to complete the projects.

Traffic will be directed to one of the opposite lanes via special openings on the highway, as well as through detours to Nissi and Ayia Thekla avenues via the Ayia Napa and Sotira exits.

The Public Works Department has also issued an apology to the public while also asking drivers to show understanding as well as comply with temporary road signs and traffic police directions.
