Road rage attack on Paphos man

Paphos Police are investigating a violent attack on a man who hooted at the car in front of him after it failed to set off as soon as the traffic lights changed.

According to the police, the incident happened at around 6.10pm on Sunday after the Agapinoros Avenue traffic lights in Paphos.

The 41-year-old from the Paphos district village of Tremithousa told police he had hooted at the car in front of him when it did not move ahead once the lights had changed.

He said the driver and his front-seat passenger then got out of the car and attacked him.  He was subsequently kept in Paphos General Hospital for facial injuries.

Police were on Monday morning searching for the two men suspected of carrying out the attack.
