Revamp planned for Paphos roundabout

The large roundabout at the end of the Limassol to Paphos highway will soon be revamped in an effort to improve visitors’ first-impression of the town.

According to Paphos Municipality, the roundabout will be planted with greenery, landscaped, and used to showcase the town’s rich cultural history.

The work will be carried out in two phases and is expected to cost €1.2m.

The first phase will mainly involve introducing more greenery on the roundabout’s banks while the second phase will see a pop-up form constructed to rise up from the roundabout’s centre and depicting important times in Paphos’ history over the centuries.

  1. How ridiculous to spend 1.2 million on a ROUNDABOUT ! What about pavements, parks, wheelchair access on beaches ? This island is nuts !
