Police are investigating two separate traffic incidents in Larnaca that occurred on Saturday and which left two pedestrians injured.
The victims – said to be a 50-year-old Ukrainian woman and a 79-year-old Cypriot man – are being treated for various injuries at Larnaca General Hospital but are both said to be out of danger.
The first incident occurred on Saturday morning on Artemidios Avenue when the car being driven by a 26-year-old woman struck a 50-year-old woman at the zebra crossing close to the Larnaca courthouses.
The victim was rushed to hospital where she is being treated various fractures to her body.

Later in the day, a Larnaca pensioner suffered similar injuries when he was knocked down by a car on Ellados Avenue.
According to police, a 65-year-old man lost control of his car, careened into the opposite lane and collided with a Larnaca pensioner as he waited on the pavement.
Larnaca Traffic Police are investigating both incidents.
