Pedestrian in hospital after being hit by car

A 42-year-old man is in a serious condition at Paphos General Hospital after being hit by a car whilst walking along the road in Kissonerga.

According to the police, the 42-year-old Polish national – who is a permanent resident in Paphos – was hit by a vehicle being driven by a woman who attempted to make a right turn into an adjacent street on Tuesday.

Witnesses told police that the 42-year-old had given the impression that he was under the influence of alcohol as he was stumbling along the road and unable to walk straight.

The man is being treated for epidural hematoma (brain trauma) and other injuries. His condition has been described as serious.

Police are continuing their investigation.

  1. In paphos, most of the driver not use indicator, mirror, or anything else than a wheel, gas, and break. I really wish to the police do something about this.. they can collect millions of euros if they start to fine those people, who run on red light, park in the sidewalk, and don’t use indicator.
