Partial 48-hour strike at Hellenic Bank

Hellenic employees in the bank’s loan management and real estate management units will go on a 48-hour strike starting on Monday.

According to a circular of the Cyprus Bank Employees Union (ETYK), the decision to revert to strike measures was taken at an emergency meeting of the union’s board.

The strike measures at Hellenic Bank, says the union, were due to a dead-end being reached in talks between the two sides.

“In spite of the expectations that Hellenic Bank management would want to find a mutually accepted solution, it appears, after the fact, that the employer side does not seek to resolve the problem,” said ETYK.
