Paralimni hit with electricity blackout

A fault leaving part of Paralimni without electricity is expected to be fixed by 10.30am on Monday, Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) spokesman Christina Papadopoulou has confirmed.

Speaking to state radio, Papadopoulou said the electricity had gone down at around 7.30am, affecting the area around Paralimni Stadium and reaching up towards Kapparis.

She said EAC technicians had arrived on the scene by 8.15am and expected to have the problem solved by 10.30am.
