Paphos swamped by poisonous snakes

Paphos fire Services have been inundated by calls for assistance in the removal of snakes.

Paphos Fire services announced on Wednesday that due to the dry and hot weather being experienced the sighting of poisonous snakes has been increasing.

Snakes have made their appearance in densely populated areas in Paphos and many people have found them on their verandas and in their gardens.

People involved in agriculture and animal husbandry have reported that the sighting of snakes has increased dramatically over the last few weeks.
