Olympic Medalist Kontides wins silver in China

Cypriot Olympic medalist Pavlos Kontides has won a silver medal in ISAF World Cup held in Qingdao, China.

Kontides was on top in the medal race held on Sunday, after a very competitive race. He was first with 30 seconds difference from his Chinese opponent Jianan Wu.

He maintained stability and excellent rhythm throughout the event, Being constant in high positions in the general classification, which maintained and in Sunday’s crucial race. Pavlos Kontides was placed 8th, 4th, 5th,4th 2nd,5th,7th 5th and 1stin all races respectively.

Tonci Stipanovicfrom Croatia finished first and Italian Giovanni Coccoluto finished third

Kontides will participate in the Final of the ISAF World Cup to be held in Melbourne in December.
