Mice catchers and the head of a state department were scrambling last week after three civil servants refused to go to work after discovering droppings all around their office.
According to reports, the two women and one man who share an office preferred to take annual holiday and go home rather than return to their desks before the mouse was caught.
Traps had been set the same day but the three had refused to go back into the office in spite of their supervisors’ reassurances.
The solution of their taking the day off, and having it cut from their annual leave, was found after it was determined there was nowhere else in the building where the three could continue their work.
The mouse had been caught by next morning and the three civil servants returned to their desks as normal.
