Man wanted in connection with kiosk beating

Police are on the lookout for a man who they say is wanted in connection with a case of causing grievous bodily harm.

The man, aged between 20 and 25, is said to be around 1.80m in height and of normal built. He has black hair and sports a beard.

Police are eager to question him with regards to a reported case of assault which occurred on 15 April.

According to sources, an accomplice of the suspect – who has since been arrested – had recruited his assistance to beat up the brother of another man that had allegedly duped the accomplice’s brother and had left him with €100,000 in debt.

The victim’s brother had wanted to buy a kiosk, but not having enough capital, had requested the accomplice’s brother to sign as the director of the kiosk. The victim’s brother then left the island, and the accomplice’s brother, to his bewilderment, found himself as the owner of a kiosk and €100,000 in debt.

Police are seeking anybody with any knowledge as to the whereabouts of the suspect to contact Limassol CID at 25805057, their nearest police station or the Citizen’s Helpline on 1460
