There’s another good reason to visit Limassol Marina: The café restaurant Hobo Mediterraneo. The strong suit of this beautiful space dominated by blue, earthy colours and the elements of the sea, is the kitchen. The menu has been drawn up by the well known chef Demetris Skarmoutsos, a connoisseur of Mediterranean cuisine.
Inspired by the gastronomic culture of the Mediterranean and its raw ingredients, he has created a number of very interesting and tasty dishes. For starters try the octopus carpaccio served with puree fava of Santorini and truffle oil and courgette fritters with grilled halloumi, watermelon and yoghurt flavoured with mint olive oil. From the salads, there’s one with baked goat cheese and blackberry dressing and one with quinoa, pumpkin, cucumber and dressing made with aged white balsamic. And since you’re at the sea, try a seafood paella, salmon with clams, crocus,  mint and aromatic risotto, the grilled sea bass with Mediterranean sauce of tomatoes, olives, basil, sun dried tomatoes and fresh onion, fresh asparagus and beans.
You will also enjoy Mediterranean in dishes such as the chicken marinated in yoghurt, coriander, cumin and allspice, served with lemon pilaf, comfit tomatoes and refreshing salad with walnuts and lemon, and the pork cut with lemon glace and marjoram, grilled vegetables and potato puree.
