Food delivery man critical after Paphos crash

A food delivery employee is in critical condition after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a car in Paphos on Thursday night.

The motorist – said to be a 31-year-old man – is currently in intensive care at Nicosia General Hospital after being transferred there from Paphos General Hospital due to the seriousness of his injuries.

Traffic police say the incident occurred at 8pm on Ellados Avenue in Paphos as he was on his way towards Mesogi to deliver food.

Preliminary investigations appear to show that the 40-year-old female driver of the car had cut off the victim as she attempted to turn right into a side road. He underwent a Computed tomography (CT) scan of the brain at Paphos General before the decision was made to transfer him to Nicosia.

Doctors have described his condition as critical.
