Fire in Geri put under control

A fire which broke out at 4:40 pm in an area between Aronas and Geri in the District of Nicosia has been put under control.

The fire burned 1.5 acres of private land which was covered in wheat and wild bushes, before being put under control at 5:30 pm.

Five men and two fire trucks of the Forestry Department were used to counter the fire, with the cause of the fire still being determined.
