The annual Culture, Art and Tourism Festival has returned to Famagusta for its 21st edition, bringing music, art, culture and dance to the city until July 19.

Organised by the local council, the well-established festival will feature a wide range of rich events across multiple locations in the city, including concerts by world-renowned international musicians as well as local talent.
On July 13 an opera based on the life of Frida Kahlo will be presented by the Ankara State Opera and Theatre Group at the ancient theatre of Salamis. July 17 will see the Silk Road Orchestra and Bekir Kucukay perform at Othello’s Castle, followed by Mehmet Ali Sanlıkol at the same location on July 18. Sanlıkol is a Famous Grammy nominated Turkish-American composer who also sings and plays jazz piano. His music has been described as colourful, fanciful, sophisticated and full of rhythmic life and feeling.
Finally on July 19, the biggest name on the line-up, Jose Feliciano will play at the ancient theatre of Salamis. Feliciano is a famous Puerto Rican singer and songwriter, best known for many international hits, including his rendition of Light My Fire and the best-selling Christmas single, Feliz Navidad. His music is known for having a mix of styles, for example including both flamenco music and mellow easy listening influences in many songs.
