Expat mother and son in cannabis arrest

Police in Paphos on Thursday released a 49-year-old British expat and her 17-year-old son without charge pending the outcome of laboratory tests on plants found at their home and initially believed to be cannabis.

Anti-Drug Squad (YKAN) officers, acting on a tip-off, on Wednesday night searched the suspects’ home in Peyia where they discovered five plants believed to be cannabis. The two were arrested and taken to Paphos police headquarters where they were questioned.
