A dried nuts store was the target of bombers at midnight on Ayias Fylaxeos Street in Limassol.
The explosion took place at a relatively busy junction of the street on Friday night, with police having to cordon off the area and block traffic.
Police investigations show that the bomb planted was an improvised explosive device of high potency.
The bomb caused extensive damages to the inside of the store. A nearby vehicle owned by a 23-year-old Romanian man was also damaged.
The store is covered by insurance.
