Cyprus to take on European Champions Portugal

The Cyprus national football team are set to take on European Champions Portugal in a friendly international on June 3.

Scheduled for Saturday, June 3 in Lisbon, Portugal, kick-off is at 4 pm local time (6 pm Cyprus) in a stadium yet to be announced.

The friendly is regarded as an important game for the national team as Portugal apart from being European champion are regarded as one of the best national teams in the world.

Cyprus takes on Gibraltar, who plays their official games in Portugal, on June 9 at the Algarve stadium in Faro in a World Cup Qualifiers Group game.

The national team will remain in Portugal to train for the interceding days between the two games.
