Police are on the lookout for two men who attacked a Scottish man with a hammer in Nicosia late on Friday night.
According to reports, the victim is said to be a 61-year-old Scottish national living in Nicosia. The two attackers, said to be an Indian and a Pakistani, had visited the victim at his apartment at around 10.45pm and demanded that he pay €100 that they claimed he owed them.
When he refused, the three allegedly scuffled resulting in one of the men striking the victim with a hammer.

Neighbours had called an ambulance and the victim was rushed to Nicosia General Hospital where he is being currently treated for serious injuries.
The two attackers are still at large.
Police say the victim is still not able to provide any more details about the incident.
