Unite Cyprus Now has announced that on Monday 19 June and on their 24th day of protest, the Turkish Cypriot member and Greek Cypriot member of the Committee for Missing Persons, Mrs Gulden Plumer Kucuk and Mr Nestoras Nestoros, will be present to speak about this most sensitive and humanitarian issue.

The Committee for Missing Persons was created with the objective to recover, identify, and return to their families the remains of 2001 persons (502 Turkish Cypriots and 1,493 Greek Cypriots) who went missing during the inter-communal fighting of 1963 to 1964 and the events of 1974.

Unite Cyprus Now continues its Peace and Unity Protest at Ledras/ Lokmaci Buffer zone between 19:00 – 20:00 every week day, calling on the leaders to continue their efforts and bring about the long-awaited solution to the Cyprus problem.

Their gatherings in the buffer zone are marked by music, dance, poetry and everything that joins the people of the island. Participants include refugees, relatives of missing persons, and ordinary Cypriots who want a united island for their children.

Join with Unite Cyprus Now to learn more about this issue and protest as it is time for the people of Cyprus to unite and take their fate in their own hands.
