The largest courtyard in Nicosia is once again transformed into a summer cinema with free admission to the public as part of the Faneromeni 17 arts festival.

This time, the big screen hosts ‘Chocolat’, a film nominated for five Oscars including Best Motion Picture and Actor and Actress in a Leading Role.

A fable of emotional liberation and chocolate, the film follows a mother and daughter who move to a small French town where they open a chocolate shop. The town, religious and morally strict, is against them as they represent free-thinking and indulgence. When a group of boat gypsies arrive, the prejudices of the Mayor leads to a crisis.
