The 42-year-old was arrested on Tuesday after a policewoman posed as a patient seeking botox treatment.
During questioning, the suspect revealed that he was a practicing hairdresser and admitted that he did not have a medical degree, arguing that he was unaware that a special permit was needed to carry out such treatments.
He claimed that he had completed diploma courses and seminars in cosmetics which he considered to be enough for aesthetic and beauty treatments.
The 42-year-old is facing a number of charges regarding violations of the Physicians Registration Act.
